Under the command of the US
Army Special Operations Command and USSOCOM, the Special
Forces (nicknamed as the "Green Berets") are trained
for extended operations in extremely remote and hostile territory.
Typically, Special Forces conduct operations in 12-man teams called
Operational Detachment Alpha (ODA) teams or A-teams. Missions include:
foreign internal defense, direct action, counter-terrorism, special
reconnaissance, and unconventional warfare. |
